Welcome to Vidya Bhawan Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Siwan Siwan

Vidya Bhawan Mahila college, Siwan was established on 6th September, 1977 by Late Dinesh Chandra Gupt (Retd. Principal, V.M.High School, Siwan) and got affiliated on 1st March, 1981 as a constituent unit of Jai Prakash University, Chapra, Bihar. The college building was constructed by then Member of Parliament Dr. Md. Shahabuddin.

The college offers Intermediate and UG programmes in Arts and Science streams. The college promises to be a leading college in siwan district of Bihar state in the field of women education. Our target is to equip every student with the best education to help them achieve the best. We inculcate in them the best of creative abilities and technical qualifications, and also teach them the indispensable human qualities. We promise to provide the most effective platform to desirous and deserving students to acquire optimum skills needed for a successful career in various fields.

The faculty members provide a great deal of encouragement to the students for participation in the academic, sports and cultural activities. The students of the college have participated in inter-university, inter-college sports events and youth festivals.

From last three decades, The college has shown fairly good results in spite of the fact that the students at the entry level are generally considered to hail from average academic background.
