Sanjay Gandhi Memorial College, Pandra, Ranchi established on the year 1980, managed by "Jharkhand Social And Educational Development Association", which is Registered under Act – 21,1860. The registration no. of this association is 588(Bihar Govt.) / 52/99(Jharkhand Govt.). Sajay Gandhi Memorial College, Ranchi is a premier and prestigious educational institution of Jharkhand having brilliant academic records. Since its establishment the college has made tremendous progress under the dynamic leadership and guidance of energetic founder secretary Dr, Bhuwneshwar Anuj. Sanjay Gandhi Memorial College,Pandra, Ranchi is permanent affiliated unit of Ranchi University, Ranchi and registered under UGC- 2f and 12B. it is imparting higher educational to Girs and Boy's from Intermediate and Graduation level in Arts, Science and commerce faculties. At present there are 6000 (Six Thousand) students on roll comprising of all sects and tribes. Also Ranchi University, Ranchi has notified to start BCA (Bachelor of Computer application) and BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration from the year 2010 under the self financing scheme.

The integration of academic excellence and professional learning is unique strength of Sanjay Gandhi Memorial College. It is constantly striving for high standards in spreading knowledge in a dynamic and interactive environment, thereby enabling our students to gain distinction and honour in their chosen fields. Its proper planning and commitments are directed towards implementation of new projects, along with open access to the expanding world of technology. Sanjay Gandhi Memorial College provides challenging academic programs, incredible support system and faculty to ensure good education and creation of an environment with the aim of offering balanced and quality education.

The college is located in Pandra and Kamre both place in Ratu Road, Ranchi. The classes in regularly running in both Vanue. Both venue holds the administrative office, Libraries and equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Psychology, Geography, Anthropology, Home Science and Vocational Disciplines (Computer labs).

Sanjay Gandhi Memorial College is trying to create a democratic culture in the college campus with active participation of the elected office bearers of the college students union in shaping the academic ethos of the college.

Equipping students to help the nation, meet the challenges of environmental pollution, deforestation, AIDS, population explosion etc. Seminars, Symposia, Awareness Derives are usually taken up under the banner of NSS.

Vocational courses in BBA, BCA have been started in the college in order to provide job-oriented courses to the students. Some more Vocational Courses are to be started from the forthcoming session.

Remedial courses are being run in the college for students belonging to ST/SC and OBC's duly approved by UGC, New Delhi.
